The compiler is a separate product which must be purchased separately.
A 60-day evaluation version of the compiler can be downloaded by going
to the XL C/C++ product page at http://www.ibm.com/software/awdtools/xlcpp/
and following the "Trials and demos" link in the upper-left corner of the page.
To use the compiler on the AIX 6.1 beta you will also need the interim fix for
the compiler which can be downloaded from the AIX 6 Open Beta download page at https://www14.software.ibm.com/webap...a-3&S_PKG=Code
i done XL C/C++ compiler installation on AIX 5.3. both evaluation and licensed version
First i did evaluation version install on AIX 5.3 and after 60 days that version got expired then used some workaround to extend it to total 74 days. But after 74 days we need to install licensed version.
you need to buy XL C/C++ licensed product from IBM then need to install on AIX.
if your requirement is for 2 month then evaluation version is enough.
you can refer below blog for installation and configuration of XL C/C++ on AIX.
in below blog, provided details where user can download and get latest licensed and evaluation version for AIX.

Great...and you do realize that this thread had been closed for NINE YEARS before you posted, right? And it seems like you just posted to advertise your blog, because (as you stated), you get this from IBM. So why should we visit your blog for details on where to get the latest version????
On mentioned blog you will get how to install XL C/C++ on AIX.also it will be useful for new AIX admin who want to install XL C compiler on AIX.

Sorry, no. As you said it is an IBM product; complete install instructions can be obtained from IBM's website, and as pretty much any AIX administrator knows, you can install such things easily through smitty.

Again, no need; go to IBM's website and search. And you need to read the LQ Rules about text speak (and not using it), not opening old threads, and not posting just to advertise a blog. Your thread has already been reported to moderators.
