downloading torrents

please can someone help me. I have recently been given an acer aspire one notebook. I really want to download torrents but I don't seem able to. I'm used to using a pc and utorrent without problems.
I would be really love any ideas people have.

There are many bittorrent clients like deluge, vuze, and gnome by default hs transmission.

$sudo apt-get install transmission

after that you should just be able to click on the torrent and it will open transmission.
