Downloading Mandrake Linux 9.2

I have downloaded Mandrake Linux 9.2 so that I can upgrade fom version 8.0. The download is 4.9GB and consists of the following folders:

doc
dosutils
Mandrake
images
misc
lang
isolinux

and several individual files which include:

VERSION
RPM-GPG-KEYS
live_update
autorun

as well as several text documents.

Can anybody tell me which files are the correct ones for creating the installation CD's and how to create these CD's. I need to burn the CD's under Windows XP as I don't have a CD burner on the Linux machine.

Thanks.

You should download the iso images and then burn them at the XP machine!

Under the 'images' folder there is listed the following files:

blank.img
cdrom.img
cdrom_changedisk.img
hd.img
hdcdrom_usb.img
MD5SUM
memtest-x86
network.img
network_gigabit_usb.img
pcmcia.img
README

There's also a folder within the 'images' folder called alternatives. This contains the following files:

cdrom.img-2.2.19-BADZ5
hd.img-2.2.19-BADZ5
hdcdrom_usb.img-2.2.19-BADZ5
MD5SUM
network.img-2.2.19-BADZ5
network_gigabit_usb.img-2.2.19-BADZ5

Under the 'isolinux' folder there are the following files:

advanced
boot
help
isolinux
isolinux.cfg

as well as two folders: one called 'alt0' the other called 'alt1'. Under both of these folders there are files called:

all.rdz
vmlinuz

I can't seem to find any folders which have a .iso suffix. Can anyone enlighten me as to where the iso files are?

Forgive me if I am wrong, but maybe u should use the link which says "Mandrake 9.2 /i586 ISO image" rather than the first on the navigation bar on the Mandrake site try:
http://www.mandrakelinux.com/en/ftp.php3#iso
then choose one of the ftp server, the one in uk shows the iso for the 3 cds and the checksum file. Once u have them u can burn them with Nero or Cd Easy Creator or whatever else...

u seem to have downloaded individual folders and files for things (or maybe a package with all those inside)

like already stated, you need to download ISO files, which are cd images

on the mandrake website, there is a list of ftp servers that have these iso files; download them and burn them to a cd with something like nero

OK! Got it. I had actually opened the ISO file and copied the files individually. Now I've correctly downloaded the 3 CD ISO images and burned them with Nero.

Thanks for the help!
