Downloading Linux software to Windows.

I have just completed installing slackware 9.1 ... my first linux install. I have a question about downloading software and installing it on my new linux box.

I can download software using our T1 line at work, however I have to download it to a windows system there. My question is: how do I then create a CD with whatever I downloaded and install it on my slackware box ... or where can I look for advice on this.

I am currently trying to download a linux version of eclipse. This just gets downloaded as a zip file. So, I'm assuming that I just need a CD which I can mount and read on the linux side in order to unzip it and use it.

One other note: I do not have a windows partition on this box.

Thanks for any help!

You got it. Burn it to CD, bring it home, mount the CD and use it.

So what you're saying is that this question is just a big old "Duh!"? I guess I'm thinking of my SCO days when you needed to use a dos read command to read from a dos formatted floppy.

I'll try it ... thanks for your help.
