Downloading linux

I've finally got highspeed and I was trying to download Fedora thru Windows/Opera and about 1/3 of the way through the process the download stops on several different mirrors... what gives?

Probably it's bad luck. Try downloading early in the moring or late in the night. Sometimes servers are overloaded and such things may happen...

If you are downloading ISO files that you plan to burn on CD, then I would suggest using DAP or another download manager with "auto resume". DAP also searches other mirror sites automatically so it can use many different sites at the same time.

If you are not downloading ISO's then you might want to consider it.

Yeah, I'm getting the ISO's... I'll go ahead and get DAP since I seem to keep failing to be able to download a single disc. Thanks for the advice :)

No problem. If you have any problems finding DAP, email me.

:D

I would also suggest using an FTP program that can resume broken downloads :)

Peace,
Whitehat

Got all 3 of them downloaded... Thanks guys :)

...Now to install them when I get home from work... hopefully I'll be able to get the wireless nic to work easier than it was with windows.
