Is there a linux command to download HLS streaming videos?

You can use a program called "livestreamer" to download streams to disk http://docs.livestreamer.io/cli.html

You can use the -o <filename> option to easily save to disk.

I have it in the repos. I shouldn't be surprised. Ubuntu has everything.
