i'm assuming you're using suse 9.1 right now...

then open up KIIB (Multimedia -> CD/DVD Burning), and just search the help file for ISO. it's probably under the tools menu, i'd guess...

sorry. i'm using xp right now on my wife's laptop w/ cable connection. my computer has a dual boot of win 98 and suse 9.1 personal. my wife's computer has a cd burner; mine doesn't. i want to remove win 98 and 9.1 personal and just have one partition with 9.1 pro. is the boot.iso all i need to install or is there more i need to download from that website? (i can't save folders to the disk, for some reason. i don't know what i'm doing.)

In fact, you don't even need the boot.iso, since you already have the Suse Personal install cdrom boot from the cdrom, choose manual installation, and voila. I recommend this article . Of course, the modules you have to load are totally dependent from your hardware, but normally just loading the right network module should do it.

If you do everything right, Yast will pop up, and since you installed Suse Personal, you'll know what to do.

Not exactly. You have to choose the "manual installation" option so you can do an ftp installation of Pro. You can do that with the boot.iso you downloaded, but also with the Suse Personal cdrom...

I really recommend reading the article
