Fedora 6.0

Thanks Chris for answering as this was my first post on forum.
Is Fedora 6.0 is open source? I don't have CDs. Just heading towards Linux.

for a good overview of major Linux distributions, go to distrowatch
The core (ie the kernel + basic utilities) of any Linux distro is open-source. Some have proprietary elements--eg drivers.

Open source as "freedom of speech" and free as "free beer"
