Download file using ssh command

Hi everyone,

How can i download file to may back up NAS to my destop.

If i understand the question right...

scp username@host:/path/to/file file_to_copy
in the case of a backup, this would probably be a .tar.xz/gz/etc/.

to do this in a script run by cron (for a backup), you will need to enable password-less authentication and create keys with ssh-keygen/
