Doubt on Linux Framebuffer

Hi,

Can some body please explain me how to display the BMP or JPG Image on to Framebuffer. I am able to draw the colors on to the screen using FrameBuffer but I am not sure how to display the images on the FB. I am dumping the decoded JPEG contents on to the file but still it's not working. I want to display the image with the help of FB and with out using DirectFB, OpenGL, SDL or any other utility. Some one please help me on this.

If what you ask was easy, why do people have so many ways of doing it? The first thing you have to do is ask many questions of your video setup, and then use the answers in your algorithm.
