doubt in the Suse configuration files
 

if we have multiple entries in the configuration files , which entry will take the affect i mean the first entry or last entry

suppose in /etc/host.conf
i have 2 entry for 'order'

order hosts,bind

-----
----------

order nis, bind


if this is the case which entry for order will take affect

If you don't understand the effect of having two 'order' lines, why would you put two in? That doesn't seem to make sense.

Assuming that you know what you want, why not just put one line in that does the right thing?

That said, I would expect the second to be the one that takes efect (once it has been read) but I can't see it documented in the man page, so it could do anything and it might change from one release to another.
