Basically, you create a DNS entry for your domain that points to the IP address of your server. You need to create an A record to associate the name to your IP address, and MX or NS records if you want to use your machine as a mail or name server for your domain (you almost certainly don't want to do the latter). How precisely you create those records depends on how your DNS provoder handles things. Do you have DNS set up for your domain, or are you just using your registrar's servers? They might let you continue doing so as part of your fee -- check with them. Otherwise zoneedit will do free DNS hosting. You probably don't want to host your own DNS, since you need 2 servers and it's something of a pain (I've done it...).
