Well i successfully upgraded the php and removed the earlier version.

The problem was we weren't supporting client's version of php and now we can browse for his websitez(index page does come now) but the links in the website arent working. It says
Code:
Not Found

The requested URL /domestic-fares.html was not found on this server.
Is it fault from the client side or something wrong with the server again? Its' a dynamic website.

I am really surprised that you did that on your production server without testing it in test environment. I am sure you know what that error means. It pretty clear. You should look for the page that server is not able find where it is expected.
You should first thoroughly check with all the links in the website to see which are working and which are not.

oh well it isn't that..i first tested in the test server and then applied in the production server..

And ya about the links ,none of the links are working...only the index page opens and i don't know why....i don't think it is coz of the .htaccess file either or maybe now i need to upgrade my https as well which is in 2.2.3 version now...

because the website is a dynamic one..

M confused as to whether it's the server fault or the the client's now....m researching..haha

If the server can not find the file where it is expecting, then upgrading the version might not be the perfect option. I would say look into the configuration for the particular site which is having issues. Look into the Document Root and check if it is correctly configured and that all the files server is expecting are present. Also check the error logs for the server or the website.

SarahGurung

try install PHP 5.3 from this webtatic repo.
It's working fine on my server,
however:
It will not solve your configuration errors, you will need to configure that yourself.

good luck
