Does Slackware 14.1 64-bit multilib OS dependencies match well with a Debian based OS conversion

Hi I am wanting to switch out my Slackware OS for Antix. I don't want to format my drive as I have files I want, I want the programs also, yet these use Slackware14.1 and kernel 3.4.15 . Wondering if I update kernel and get Antix, will all my programs run the same? The reason to format is my / ballooned and my / partition is 100 capacity, I was considering how to back up /... and /home. and start fresh with Antix. Any suggestions? I particularly have my wine installed games, which I want. Rome Total War and Bauldurs Gate. So I need back up the save files only? XORG wont run anymore unless under root user.

Your software running with Wine should be into your home.

So, backup /home, we never know.
Install Antix on / and use your /home (as /home for Antix) without format it.
You will have to install your linux software from Antix's packages.

antix, backups, installation, slackware 14.1
