does linux have recyle bin like windows to recover lost files
Hello
I want to know if linux has any recycle bin like we have in windows to recover any deleted item. Moreover in which directory does linux store all the commands. I'm intrested in writing some of my own commands and making changes to the exisiting one. Thanks Fahad Hameed |
its called the trash, linux stores its commands in /usr/bin and /usr/sbin, mostly, but they don't have the source code with them, I'm pretty sure you have to download the sourcecode separately

SO... It all depends on your file manager for "trash" capability... |
KDE also has the trash can

Some of them have a "Trash" or something like it.

/usr/local/bin, /usr/bin, /bin, /usr/bin/X11, and /usr/games. Also all the /sbin ones... The source code is not included, but should be available. It depends on the program as to where. |
