does linux have recyle bin like windows to recover lost files
 

Hello

I want to know if linux has any recycle bin like we have in windows to recover any deleted item.

Moreover in which directory does linux store all the commands.

I'm intrested in writing some of my own commands and making changes to the exisiting one.

its called the trash, linux stores its commands in /usr/bin and /usr/sbin, mostly, but they don't have the source code with them, I'm pretty sure you have to download the sourcecode separately

That's only for gnome desktops. There are variants of ways to delete the files... For instance... If you've used command line to delete your file, you'll have to use recovering tools to recover your files... On gnome, as stated, you'll have a "trash can". On fluxbox... I don't see file manager there... so I can't delete a file from there... I've forgotten what XFCE offered...
SO... It all depends on your file manager for "trash" capability...

It varies, but on my Debian install:
/usr/local/bin, /usr/bin, /bin, /usr/bin/X11, and /usr/games. Also all the /sbin ones...

The source code is not included, but should be available. It depends on the program as to where.
