i just read a book it said that uuencode should be in most system, but i cannot find it in my system. I am using fedora 3, there is man page for uuencode but it doesnt have the command(that mean if i type uuencode it say command not found). Is there anywhere i can find it to install?

This thread from Redhat.com...

it is not very clear from this post if the sharutils package is included on the FC3 disks or not. I know it is not installed on my machine, and it sounds like its not on yours either. I checked the add/remove software menu in the GUI desktop (I'm using KDE), and couldn't find it available to check and install, but you may have better luck (I didn't go through all of it). Worst comes to worst, that is supposed to be the package that you need, so you could use Yum to download and install it (probably).
