does anyone know of a chat software

Hi,
I recently purchased a domain. I would like to run a chat server on it so that I can chat with my colleagues using my webpage. Does anyone know about a chat software?

Look into Jabber - it is completely open source and you can tweak it to your needs. There are also various Java chat clients - I'd suggest checking Freshmeat and Sourceforge.
