Does anyone know how to install old kde programs on kde4?

Trying to install guarddog or kmyfirewall on slackware, but I get cannot find kde-config, I have found out that it is know called kde4-config. Is there a way to make configure look for kde4-config instead of kde-config?

Or, anyone know of a front end for iptables that will install?

Thanks.

It pops into my "brain" that you could use find/replace on the configure file and replace all the kde-config with kde4-config.

I was trying to do that manually to the ./configure file, but was not sure if that was normal procedure or if it would even work.

Neither do I but give it a try, it's unlikely to cause any harm. If it does not work you can restore the configure file to its original condition. Only suggested it because it's the first thought, after all at the top of the configure file it says it's trying to "guess" things, so give it an informed guess??
