Question Do we need Swap for entry level vps?

hi, am running Ubuntu 20.04 LTS on an entry level vps with 2Ghz vCpu & 1GB RAM. The question is - will adding Swap be a good idea if its running as a vpn server with Fail2ban?

below is the RAM statistic when all is running - with one vpn client connects. max concurrent vpn client will be 3

total used free shared buff/cache available
Mem: 962Mi 207Mi 175Mi 2.0Mi 579Mi 593Mi
Swap: 0B 0B 0B

if it is a good idea, should we go for Swap file or Swap partition?

p/s - heard that is not recommended to run Swap on SSD, but that only applies to older SSD right?

thank you,

How much virtual hard drive space do you have?
I think it can't hurt to add ~2G of swap space.
Maybe you want to keep swappiness low.

Since it's not your hardware, what do you care?

hi, i hv 25GB total and think should hv like 20GB free since only install vpn+nginx+fail2ban+certbot

hv read about the swappiness should be set to a low - near zero for vps. in both the article mention 10. so you think thats a good number in my case?

p/s - lol. ur right, the ssd not mine but do u think it will affect ssd in case i need to install them on my own hardware
in future

cheers,
