Do I need to restart the crontab, if I change the script which was running


Please advise that If I am fire a crontab which is running myScript
The crontab is running
Now if I change the source code of myScript
Do I need to restart the crontab, to take into effect my changes
Ie I want in the existing crontab to take my updated script

Or it will take its own

You cannot restart crontab. corntab is a command and crond is the deamon which takes care of your crontab entries to execute them at regular intervals.

No need to restart crond.

It will take care as long as you do not change location of the script.

If you change the crontab file make sure you use the
$ crontab -e
command. This will take care of notifying the crond daemon that it has to reread the crontab file.
