What is the name of DNS service in Linux. kindly tell me a few instructions how to setup it

It is called either named or bind.

hoi, i tried : $bind ...DNS is much faster then otherwise...( xs4all is my netprovider )
so ..thx for that. ( i put it in my rc.local ).
