DNS Problem

Dear all members,
I need your help. I'm stucked. I have configured a DNS server over Linux machine and made a zone file "abc.com". Whenever i try to check the "A" record from the same machine, i get the desired result but when i try to check it from a Windows XP machine, i gert an error "can't find server, no response from the server". Please help me out so that i could move ahead. Thanks a lot inadvance
Waiting for a precious and positive reply from all of your side.

Do you have a firewall on your system that's blocking port 53? Go into the security configuration tool and check that port 53 is accessible from the network.

Most firewalls will allow the "system" (Windows subsystem) to access 53. Although I wouldn't rule it out, I don't think that's the issue.

On a much more simple note....does your XP box point to your Linux DNS?
