DNS automatic join new network

Every time I move to a new network (school), I have to manually type in the DNS (which some time can be a little tricky). Can anyone know a way to configure DNS, so it automatic have the new DNS server address?

Thanks,

It's commonly referred to as DHCP ...

If it's NOT set-up on the network (in other
words: the network doesn't have a DHCP
server) it's a bit more tricky.

There's a few tools out there that will allow you
to configure things using arp ... go to http://freshmeat.net
and use arp as the search-term.

Cheers,
Tink
