Question DNS and Apache!


Hello!
I have installed a named dns server.
When I ping www.xxxx.nu my ip nummer is shown. But when I try it in a webbbroswer it dosne't shw my homepage. But if I enter my ip nummer the webbserver is shown.

Sombody know how to fix this!

I'm running Slackware 8 and bin-9.2.1

When you point a browser at the FQDN do you get any content or errors back? It could be something as simple as a misconfiguration of a virtual host or something, but I need some more details to be sure.

Now my DNS work so that when I on my linux router runs:
$lynx www.xxxx.nu
My homepag comes up. But when I go from the outside it dosen't work.!!?? But but but...when i hit my ip nummer on the net...it works?? Strange...

Seems like the DNS records are wrong or not yet updated then. For a quick test go to http://www.network-tools.com/nslook/...go.x=26&go.y=9 and enter your domain there and paste the output here
