dns always default to 92.242.144.5

Hi,

I was writing a script to use lftp to grap some files, but when I provide wrong hostname, I found it always trying to connect to 92.242.144.5
I have been testing with nslookup and dig and it always resolve any nonexistent hostname to this IP address 92.242.144.5

I don't know why is that weird behavior. So any suggestion why is that happening??

Please post the contents of /etc/resolv.conf (assuming Ubuntu 10.04 still uses such a conventional file) and a sample dig output that resolves to 92.242.144.5

hi catkin,

I found out the root cause of the problem, My DNS is set up to be my router, which is set up to be my ISP DNS, which when fails forward me to their search page, so It always resolve to their search server when it fails.

Thanks for trying to help.
