dmesg output, is it safe to post on a website?

I have an issue where one of my CDROM drives is unable to be seen in Fedora 10. I'm relatively new to linux and hardware (although pretty comfy at a command line and basic linux commands) but I first wanted to check on the "safety" of posting the output of the dmesg command to my website.

I thought I would likely need the output of this command to have someone here help me a bit and instead of bulking down the forums with that rather large output I could post the output to my website. Is there anything negative about doing something like that from a security standpoint? (i.e. am I giving away system information that I should not be?)

[I'll be posting my issue in the hardware forum soon, but I wanted to ask this first]

the only thing it could contain that may be sensitive is the ip or hostname of your computer.
