DLT VS160 not working in Linus ES 3.0

Dear All,

We have ML370G4 Server. OS loaded is Linux ES 3.0. We just have added a Tape Drive DLT VS160 on it. As per hardware configurtaion, it's showing that hardware is configured. Details :

==========================================================================
blk: queue cd4aee18, I/O limit 4294967295Mb (mask 0xffffffffffffffff)
Vendor: QUANTUM Model: DLT VS160 Rev: BOOT
Type: Sequential-Access ANSI SCSI revision: 02

st: Version 20040102, bufsize 32768, max init. bufs 4, s/g segs 16
Attached scsi tape st0 at scsi0, channel 0, id 6, lun 0
============================================================================

But when we checked the SCSI Tape drive in /proc/scsi directory it doesn't show any. Also the front panel LED's Fault & Clean remains glowing (Amber color).

Also no comand for backup running

# tar -zcvf /dev/st0/200609027.tar.gz /app/utiba
# tar -cf /dev/st0 <files,directories>
# mt -f /dev/st0 status
# mt -f /dev/st0 eject

Is we require any drives or DLT is faulty ? Please do provide the solution.

Regds,

Harish Bisht
