dlink 624 connected momentarily... now won't
 

so new to linux that I don't know where to start.

working with a fresh install of fedora 10 and a Dlink 624 wireless and dlink network card.( that works fine when running Billy Gates on the computer.) This is not a dual boot system - I'm set up to physically switch hard drives.
the two terminals pictures for networking in the lower right hand corner show a red x on them - click on it and it shows networking checked and wireless checked. click on the VPN (I'm not using VPN) button and bring up the networking box and click the "wireless" tab- checked "start automatically.

It showed two green circles and connected to "default" momentarily - about 20 seconds- enough to get mozilla out for about 10 seconds.

Reported wireless connection not available. So I did a full system restart.

still won't connect. any ideas?

I'm currently using Billy Gates and the wireless card to access this site- so I'm reasonably sure it's not any of the hardware.
