DL and install X from command line

Hi Everyone,

I've just recently decided to switch from Win to Linux and dl'ed Mandrake 10.1

During installation I got an error saying that Xorg could not be installed. I have been trying to slug out the RPM in the command line but it seems to be an error on one of the CD's I was installing from.

Therefore I've got no GUI and need somehelp downloading a new version of Xorg and installing it from the command line.

I run with a Nvidia GEforce FX5200 if it makes any difference

Thanks a bunch

I have not used mandrake but there are couple of things you can try:

Become superuser (root) and try the following commands,

# urpmi xorg
# urpmi xorg-x11
This is assuming, you have network up and running and have repositories setup.

You can d/l NVIDIA graphics drivers from NVIDIA website and then use the tutorial on this website.
