distant connection to mac os 9 [newbie]

I have totally no idea how to connect to a mac running mac os 9 from a pc running redhat 9. All I know is that the mac is on an appletalk network. I want to browse its hard disk to rappatriate files to my pc.

I don't ask you for a precise answer but just give me the very general way to reach my goal. I just don't want to read many useless man pages...

Thanks for your future answer ;-)
