DISPLAY problem pls.

i can not open firfox.

student@linux:~/firefox/firefox-installer> ./firefox
Xlib: connection to ":0.0" refused by server
Xlib: XDM authorization key matches an existing client!

(firefox-bin:7041): Gtk-WARNING **: cannot open display:
student@linux:~/firefox/firefox-installer> echo $DISPLAY

pls help me how to set DISPLAY and get the firfox.

Some googling led me to this thread on the SUSE forums, and to cut a long story short, they solved the problem by running 'xhost +' to disable authentication on the server, then running firefox and letting it start before running 'xhost -' to close the server back up again. Assuming you have root on the computer with the problems, it's worth a try I think.
