Display problem (ATI Radeon and integrated card)

I have just installed Mandrake 8.2 on my computer. It has both an
integrated Intel card and an ATI Radeon pci card. I only want to
utilize the ATI card. However, the desktop dimension is 2048 x 768
when I only want 1024x768. Obviously, it must be recognizing both

How would I go about resolving this issue?

In almost every mobo on the planet, all of the onboard goop just has to be disableable from BIOS. Try back if you can't kill it from BIOS.

Also, no matter what you're probably going to have to edit your X configuration after you fix that. Try back when you've got the Intel card off.
