Display not appears while loading Linux

hi, i am running opensuse 10.3 in dual-cora system. while i install it with a Acer LCD monitor it works fine and all the drivers installed successfully. when i remove that monitor and plug the system to a Philips crt monitor, the display not appears since it starting loading Linux. but it shows the bootloader quiet well. moreover i can start the dual boot windows from the bootloader and work fine. problem is when i select opensuse (and also the filesafe mode) the display becomes black. the cpu LED shows its work backgorund. i assume Linux in loded successfully but its not displayed due to monitor change. i cant use the prevous moniter due to some inevidable reasons.

can anybody help me to find a solution?

Run your system in a single user mode and when you log in run the command xorgconfig.Try to set X from there.

Were you in a single user mode?If you don't know how to get there,here's how;
In GRUB, hit 'e", then select the "kernel" line, hit "e" again,press space and add " single" (or just " 1") to the end of the line. Press ENTER, and then "b" to boot. (Newer version of grub uses "a" to append to the boot line).Post if you still don't see anything after this.You should be presented with the login prompt.
