display Chinese characters in Firefox under Fedora

I am using firefox/Fedora, when I visit the chinese website, the characters are unreadable.

I add the chinese language in "Edit"-> preference -> language and select the "view"-> encoding -> UTF 8 (or chinese simplified), but it does not work.

How to display the chinese character? is there any package needed to install?

take a look at this post..

http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...hlight=chinese

plenty of links and info about adding Chinese support. Although that was mainly for Debian based distros the package names should be similar for Fedora.

Let us know how it turns out for you.

Thanks !

I have solved this problem.

Due to no root privilege, I just copy the .fonts dir from other PC to my local dir. It works O.K. now
