display card x300 install on debian 3.1r2

Hi, i am newbie in linux. i had install debian 3.1r2 sarge on my notebook . my graphic card ati x300 cannot support. can anyone help me solve the problem. where to download ati x300 and how to install install inside debian 3.1r2.

Can debian 3.1r2 upgrade to 4.1
what the command for upgrade .

The page at linuxtopia is outdated. x300 has OSS support now.

Not sure how much work it is to get it going on Debian 3.1, at least a recent kernel is required.
