disk size problem
Dear Frnds

I have the problem in disk usage. The problem is out of my df -h

Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on
/dev/sda3 7.7G 7.7G 0 100% /
/dev/sda1 99M 11M 84M 11% /boot
tmpfs 1.9G 0 1.9G 0% /dev/shm

But When using du -sh command under / it's giving the usage is 5.5 GB only. Where is remaining 2.2Gb is gone ????

[root@localhost /]# du -sh
5.5G .

Pls any one help to know abt this issue.

Thanks& Regards

It's a classical problem. You probably have a/some processes that has/have a/some files open, but deleted. The space occupied by those hidden files is going to be freed only when those process stops.
If you cannot find who are the culprits, then just rebooting your machine is going to solve the issue... until it happens next time, so you'd better figure out which process is keeping deleted files open.
