Disk Quotas


I know how to create disk quotas meanings of the block limit and file limits

Now lets take it by example


I have seted disk quota for a 100 Mb partition mounted under /my

i have seted is usrquots

its block soft and hard limit is 20 and 100

now what the values actually means 20 and 100

I can fire dd command to create a 90 Mb file so whats the use of these block limits please help i am using rhel5
