Disabling I/O schedulers
Hi,
Can anyone tell me how to disable I/O schedulers for Linux (kernel 2.6). I'm working on a project which requires me to evaluate the performance of their scheduling algorithms. I'm using Suse 10.3 I'm close to tears here |
You can switch IO schedulers on the fly.
Perhaps reading this will help you understand more about them: http://www.wlug.org.nz/LinuxIoScheduler |
Disabling I/O schedulers
Could someone help with a stepwise HOW-TO on Disabling I/O schedulers, preferably SUSE 10.3.

Why on earth would you want to? What's the objective?
Cheers, Tink |
Object would be to carry out a handson evaluation of the performance I/O schedulers
