Disabling I/O schedulers

Hi,

Can anyone tell me how to disable I/O schedulers for Linux (kernel 2.6).
I'm working on a project which requires me to evaluate the performance of their scheduling algorithms.

I'm using Suse 10.3

I'm close to tears here

You can switch IO schedulers on the fly.

Perhaps reading this will help you understand more about them:

Disabling I/O schedulers

Could someone help with a stepwise HOW-TO on Disabling I/O schedulers, preferably SUSE 10.3.

Why on earth would you want to? What's the objective?

Cheers,
Tink

Object would be to carry out a handson evaluation of the performance I/O schedulers
