Disable video card

How can i disable video card on my Ubuntu, like in windows. I want to test graphics problem with my application. can any one suggest?

If you are using Debian, blacklist the driver. /etc/modprobe.d should have one or two files named blacklist. Use the stanzas in there as examples. I don't know if that's common to other distros, so YMMV.
