Disable keys in Fedora

Hi all..

I want to disable some keys in fedora like CTRL-A But while disabling CTRL key using xmodmap -pk table I found all Options of control got disabled like

CTRL-N---> TO open new file
CTRL-O---> Open doc
CTRL-s----> Save doc

etc...

How can I enable CTRL only to specific functions like above and disable CTRL to ?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.....
Thanks in advance....

Why do you want to disable them? Some programs also use different CTRL combinations for different purposes, too.

And there is no way to change what you want the key to do, that's hard-coded into the programs.

We have a testing application...where we have to make sure that participants should not use CTRL-ALT, ALT-TAB, CTRL-F1, CTRL-x etc...

Also I have to make sure that some of the keys combined with CTRL should work like CTRL-a, CTRL-s etc

This is my problem...Is there any way to achieve this ?

Any help will be greatly appreciated...

Thanks in advance.....

So you don't want to let them get to another program to cheat?

Will they be using a mouse?
