Disable Intel Pro Wireless 2100 Centrino NIC using HD install of Knoppix

Hi

I have a Centrino laptop with a built in Intel Pro Wireless 2100 card that I need to disable. I'm sure this is easy but I'm new to Linux and can't figure it out despite numerous searches for 'linux disable hardware' and similar phrases.

I use an Orinoco Gold card for my pen tests and this built in card is generating spurious traffic as it tries to associate with an AP, thus I want to disable it.

Thanks,

Dan

Hi

I figured it out myself, just use:

rmmod ipw2100

To unload it from the Kernel and disable it.
