How can I disable the ping on my RHEL6

1. outgoing: rm (or rename for later use) the prog
2. incoming: iptables
A better answer to 2; edit /etc/sysctl.conf and put the following line at the bottom:

net.ipv4.icmp_echo_ignore_all=1
To activate immediately 'sysctl -p'.
