disable desktop effects using command in fedora 8


today i was tryin to enable desktop effects in fedora 8 ...but after enabling it the display has gone for a six..now iam not able to see anything properly on desktop..

i can do ssh to dat machine..
can neone tell me how can i disable the desktop effectd on that machine using command..
cause m not able to do nethin graphically on that machine..
im able to do ssh to dat using other machine...

try typing killall compiz, or alternatively, type ps -e | grep compiz and then kill -9 <pidofcompiz>
