Directory changed to a file
 

I swear I did nothing wrong. (Thats what they all say, this time its me).

I was just copying files from my Red Hat Server to my W2K server. I was using W2K to do the copying. Not long after that I checked the data directory on my Linux box and it had made a few unwanted changes. It now appears to be a file and it has added .lock to the end of the file. EG… It was “server” its now “server.lock”.

The only thing that I would have done on the Linux box in between the file copying and noticing the directory had changed, would be changing some user details using Webmin.

Can anyone tell me what has happened and a possible fix to the problem please.
