directing samba directory to second harddrive

I am setting up a file server and I put a second drive in the machine. Somewhere I read that it is better to seperate the fileserver data onto a second drive. I just needed more capacity so I put one in.

How do I set the share directory to the second drive. I just did a clean install and the bakcup data is on cd's for right now. So I still haven't set the share up yet anyway.

the fact that it is on a seperate disk is irrelevant, as posix filesystems mount into a single structure. once mounted it behaves just as any directory, so absolutely no special action is required. what you read was saying that IO on that disk won't interfere with the IO of the operating system itself if it's on a seperate IO channel, so will respond better under a heavy load. if the load is not heavy, there will be no notable benefit. SO anyway, just own to standard samba configuration of smb.conf or via whatever GUI tools you may prefer.
