Difficulties for remote desktop

Hi,

I want to use remote desktop viewer. Onse I try to use connect and press find the ip address, it gives me: Failed to connect to Avahi server: Daemon not running
Also, after restarting it shows Network discovery is disabled.

How can I fix the problem?

Thanks,

Have you enabled in System>Preferences>Remote and if you have trouble locating machine you can send the vnc address via email

I have done it. I have set up a password for remote connection. It says local domain is used and network discovery is disabled. While trying to connect to another machine by remote desktop viewer, it says: Failed to connect to Avahi server: Daemon not running.

You need vncserver on 1 that you want to connect from. With vnc the machine has to be logged in already to accept incoming connection, unless you use ssh

How can I install VNC server on that? I guess it has. The only thing I'm curious about is the message i get after restart: Network discovery is disabled. Domain is local.
