There is a "Redhat EL5" package 'gnuplot' in the Redhat repo.
May be it's a special repo, that you have not yet enabled ?
Redhat reference list ( Source SRC.RPM )
ftp://ftp.redhat.com/redhat/linux/en...r/en/os/SRPMS/
.

have u modify the /etc/yum.repos.d/xxxxx.repo file ?
"yum clean all" do once again.
If still do not work might be possible it is not in repository which is calling by your .repo file

What is your OS architecture.
use arch command for it.
If it is x86-64
yum install gnuplot.x86_64
or
yum install gnuplot*

Probably ask Redhat which repo ( section ) to enable,
and how to do that.
