Different Interfaces, Different Software

Ok, another newbie question here:

I've installed Slackware 10.0, and have tried KDE, Gnome, Fluxbox, and a few others. Now, I've decided to stick with Gnome, but there are some software in KDE, for example, that I would like to use in Gnoke.

How do I gain access to these software packages, regardless of the interface I'm using?

Good question. Some software you can use, some you can't. If what you want to access are just general KDE programs, such as kwrite or konqueror, as long as you have the required KDE packages installed, you can use any of them. Thus, if when you installed Slack 10.0, you said, "Just install it all.", then you've probably installed all the required libraries/packages/etc. That being said, many, if not all, of the KDE menu plug-ins will only work in KDE. So, if you managed to find one or two menu applets that you REALLY like, hopefully you will be able to find equivalents in GNOME (or whatever WM/DM you end up using).
