differences between Apache 2.0.47 in comparison to Apache 1.3.28 installation?
 

Hi guys. Im thinking of installing apache webserver but need to know the differences in building, installing and configuring Apache 2.0.47 to Apache 1.3.28.

Can anyone tell me the main differnces so i can decide on what one to install

Well you can consider installing if your modules are 2.x ready. Also I suggest you choose the prefork MPM since it is the most stable ... I'm running Apache 2.0.48, PHP 4.3.4 (with a couple of extensions), turk MMCache, modsecurity without any problems.

u got me wrong. i meant that what are the differences between the 2 versions in the building, installing and configuring stages. the fundamental differences. apart from installing i have to write a report on why i chose the one i do.
