difference between platform driver and ordinary driver
 

Hi all,
I am not understanding the difference between the
platform driver and the regular driver.
How they differ and when to prefer each of this driver.

Could you please provide more details about your problem? Are you asking about drivers built in a specific distro of Linux ? Are you asking about open source drivers vs. binary drivers from hardware manufacturers? I'm confused as to what your asking for.
